You really have to admire the chutzpah of the hacks running the left-wing rag known as Politico. After spending years enabling Democrat lawfare against Donald Trump and Republicans, the outlet now has the gall to whine that the bill for their political buddies\u2019 authoritarian tactics may finally be coming due.<\/p>\n

Courtesy of Managing Editor Jack Blanchard (with \u201chelp\u201d from others), the little meltdown was on full display in Thursday\u2019s edition of \u201cPolitico Playbook,\u201d which focused (in part) on President Trump\u2019s recently announced plan to nominate Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to the position permanently. <\/p>\n

Blanchard started off his \u201canalysis\u201d by practically slobbering over Senate GOP loser Thom Tillis and his willingness to be a potential \u201croadblock\u201d against Blanche\u2019s nomination. Assuming readers are able to get past that part without hurling, they\u2019re then greeted with a barrage of gaslighting about the Trump Justice Department. <\/p>\n

In pointing out Blanche\u2019s role in overseeing the DOJ\u2019s recent charges against former FBI Director James Comey, the Politico editor hypothesized that \u201cBlanche\u2019s decision to seek new charges \u2014 three weeks after becoming Acting AG \u2014 is thought to have been a key factor in convincing Trump to offer him the job full-time.\u201d He further attempted to push Democrats\u2019 narrative that Trump is on a \u201crevenge tour\u201d by characterizing prospective lawbreakers unsuccessfully prosecuted by former Attorney General Pam Bondi as Trump\u2019s \u201cpolitical enemies,\u201d and their charges as \u201cflims[y].\u201d <\/p>\n

Far from finished, Blanchard claimed that \u201cBondi\u00a0already\u00a0<\/em>moved the bar a long way.\u201d He then cited remarks from Politico\u2019s so-called \u201clegal ace\u201d Josh Gerstein, who dutifully contended that \u201cDuring the Bondi era, many were stunned by the lengths to which the Justice Department was going to carry out Trump\u2019s political vendettas.\u201d Gerstein also surmised that Blanche\u2019s \u201cintensified\u201d accountability campaign since becoming acting AG \u201cseemed like an overt campaign\u201d to \u201caudition[]\u201d for the full-time job. <\/p>\n

If Gerstein\u2019s name sounds familiar, it should. He\u2019s one of the crackpot reporters who published the leaked Supreme Court Dobbs<\/em> draft opinion back in 2022 \u2014 a decision that ultimately resulted in left-wing anarchists descending on the homes of the conservative justices, a wave of death threats against those justices, and an assassination attempt against Justice Kavanaugh. He also attempted to give legitimacy to the media hatchet job against Justice Samuel Alito and benign flags flown at his residence. <\/p>\n

Piling on Gerstein\u2019s screed, Blanchard concluded his anti-Blanche hit piece by claiming the acting AG \u201chas bent over backward to convince Trump of his loyalty.\u201d \u201cAnd at times,\u201d he wrote, \u201chis obsequiousness toward the president has been toe-curling.\u201d <\/p>\n

Contrary to the bubble that media dolts like these live in, the only thing that\u2019s \u201ctoe-curling\u201d about this entire debacle is how low Blanchard and his colleagues are willing to go to debase themselves for their Democrat allies. <\/p>\n

Don\u2019t think for a second that it\u2019s some kind of accident that Politico didn\u2019t acknowledge the Obama and Biden Justice Departments\u2019 laundry list of abuses against Trump and conservatives in their \u201cPlaybook.\u201d The decision to obfuscate any mention of the Democrat-led Russa collusion hoax or the targeting of concerned parents at school board meetings, faithful Christians, 2020 election Trump lawyers and protestors, Trump himself, and Republican members of Congress (to name a few) was a choice. <\/p>\n

Politico is more horrified that the Trump DOJ is seeking accountability for these egregious abuses than they are at the abuses themselves. And they will gladly portray the president and his team as the power-hungry tyrants that Democrats are to cover them up. <\/p>\n

Ethical Americans may wonder what kind of self-professed \u201cnews\u201d organization would do such a thing. <\/p>\n

Well, Politico would. And so would every other major media outlet that went along with and empowered Democrat prosecutors\u2019 unprecedented weaponization of government to target their political opponents. It\u2019s basically their MO at this point. <\/p>\n

In case it wasn\u2019t already obvious, what\u2019s happening in most modern media today is not journalism. It\u2019s straight-up left-wing propaganda designed to bolster the Democrat Party\u2019s preferred narrative, plain and simple. <\/p>\n

Politico Playbook is no exception to that standard. In fact, it is the standard \u2014 one that Americans would be all the wiser to treat like the flaming hot garbage that it is. <\/p>\n
