The incident came about on Friday, when the San Francisco Giants hosted their \u201cpride night\u201d commemorating the \u201cLGBT community.\u201d The night\u2019s antics included same-sex couples renewing their vows on the field \u201cin the presence of a drag queen,\u201d the national anthem being sung \u201cby an LGBTQ-affirming nondenominational church,\u201d and players donning rainbow-colored hats, according to Fox News. <\/p>\n

Rather than bow before the left\u2019s pagan religion, Giants pitchers Landen Roupp, JT Brubaker, Ryan Walker, and Sam Hentges took a different approach. <\/p>\n

Roupp, Brubaker, and Walker inscribed variations of Genesis 9:12-16 on their LGBT-themed hats, a reference to the Bible verses in which God uses a rainbow to signify his covenant that He would never again destroy mankind by flooding the earth. Meanwhile, Hentges declined to wear a rainbow-colored hat altogether. <\/p>\n

When pressed on the matter following the team\u2019s loss to the Chicago Cubs, Roupp explained the meaning behind the verses and that \u201cit\u2019s just about God\u2019s covenant and a promise that He makes to us.\u201d He furthermore stood behind his Christian faith, his decision to write the verses on his hat, and encouraged those offended by his choice to \u201cread the Bible.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just something I believe in and I stand firm in that. Thankfully we live in a country where we have the freedom to believe what we want,\u201d Roupp said. \u201cThere\u2019s no hate at all. It\u2019s just what I stand for, and what I stand in. I believe in God.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hentges similarly defended his decision to forgo the team\u2019s \u201cpride\u201d commemoration, saying \u201cThere wasn\u2019t any hatred behind it\u201d and \u201cIt\u2019s just something that I feel like I was forced to support when I don\u2019t morally support it.\u201d <\/p>\n

Leftist media shills wasted no time in making it known that their \u201cinclusion\u201d label doesn\u2019t apply to faithful Christians. <\/p>\n

Grant Brisbee, a writer for the New York Times\u2019 sports division (\u201cThe Athletic\u201d), penned an unhinged screed titled, \u201cGiants pitchers\u2019 Bible verses on Pride Night caps show how they\u2019ve missed the point.\u201d As if he were mimicking the Seinfeld<\/em> episode where Kramer gets accosted for not wearing \u201cthe ribbon,\u201d the grown manchild lectured the Giants players by claiming their actions represented a \u201ctone-deaf response to what should have been a moment for community unity.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey made the night about \u2018us versus them.\u2019 That\u2019s the only thing they could see,\u201d whined Brisbee, who ended his temper tantrum with leftists\u2019 mindless \u201cDo better\u201d remark. <\/p>\n

Cyd Zeigler, the co-founder of the LGBT sports outlet Outsports, authored a similarly embarrassing article. In seemingly accusing athletes who don\u2019t support \u201cpride night\u201d nonsense as \u201chomophobic,\u201d he characterized the Giants players\u2019 Bible verse inscriptions as \u201can attack on the LGBTQ community and Pride.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c[T]hese three players weaponized that verse \u2014 choosing the Giants Pride Night specifically \u2014 in an attempt to steal away the only symbol the LGBTQ community has to unite us: the rainbow,\u201d Zeigler wrote. \u201c[T]hese three players on the Giants \u2014 in San Francisco \u2014 are so full of hate for the LGBTQ community that they can\u2019t just decline to wear the Pride cap, let the team welcome the LGBTQ community to the ballpark, and go about their day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Catch that? According to Zeigler, it\u2019s not LGBT activists who hijacked the symbol of God\u2019s covenant to promote sinful behavior that directly defies His teachings. It\u2019s those pesky Christians who are sabotaging the occasion by simply expressing their faith. <\/p>\n

Brisbee, Zeigler, and their ilk could\u2019ve saved everyone a lot of time by cutting the word games and admitting what most leftists believe. That is, that Christians shouldn\u2019t be allowed to express their faith or live it out in the public square.<\/p>\n

Christianity is the antidote to the poisonous pagan religion many leftists subscribe to. And it\u2019s because of that fact that they must vilify and destroy it at all costs. <\/p>\n
