Jen decided to speak up in the\u202f \u201cso that\u00a0religiously-motivated\u00a0coercive abuse is properly\u00a0recognized\u00a0and confronted, even when doing so is politically, culturally, or socially controversial.\u201d<\/p>\n

In response,\u202fRape Crisis England and Wales, a U.K.\u00a0\u201cfeminist\u201d\u00a0social services organization\u00a0\u201cworking to end sexual violence and abuse,\u201d\u00a0released a statement calling the report racist for pointing out that 95% of the gang members are Muslim and exploited girls because they were white.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is unhelpful and irresponsible to attribute sexual violence and abuse perpetration uniquely to specific races, ethnicities or religions,\u201d\u00a0the organization states.\u00a0\u201cFraming the issue squarely in terms of immigration undermines joined-up, community-based responses to tackling misogyny and rape culture.\u201d<\/p>\n

The organization highlights how much they\u00a0\u201ccommend the courage of the survivors who shared their horrific experiences\u201d and how important it is for victims to be\u00a0\u201cbelieved and supported.\u201d\u00a0The organization even has an anti-racism\u202fstatement\u202fwhere they explain,\u00a0\u201cjust as sexual violence and misogyny are a continuum, we also know that racist violence is too.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Yet, when rape survivors notice they are victims of racism at the hands of an ideology that views white women as property, the organization releases a statement condemning the report for being hateful towards Muslims.<\/p>\n

The report explains how the perpetrators of the rape gangs\u00a0\u201coperated under an\u00a0honour\u00a0and shame clan code that treated non-Muslim girls, especially white working-class girls, as property available for sexual use because these girls had no male protectors who could retaliate.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The girls in the report were told they\u00a0were \u201cwhite trash\u201d or\u00a0\u201c\u2018kuffar\u2019\u00a0who merited punishment.\u201d\u00a0Some girls were forced to get abortions, some miscarried, and others were even trafficked to the Middle East and forced into Islamic marriages, according to the\u202f.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThey hate dogs, they hate pigs, and they\u2019d put women on that same level,\u201d\u00a0Jen said in the report.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Muslim gangs began grooming a 10-year-old girl named Chloe after her father died. She\u2019d\u00a0go\u00a0\u201cmissing for up to three days, during which time she was passed between taxis, drugged, abused, and raped,\u201d\u00a0the report says.\u00a0\u201cIn every case, the perpetrators were 20 Muslims, and primarily Pakistani.\u201d Chloe also said she was taken into mosques where imams declared that white women who dressed \u201cinappropriately\u201d were \u201cfree game.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eleanor\u2019s grooming started at age 13 while she was in and out of a children\u2019s home. By the time she was 17, her abuse had escalated, and she was sentenced to prison for stabbing her abuser. \u201cI had friends that were Muslim \u2026\u00a0and this never happened to them,\u201d she says.\u00a0\u201cThe men would treat them differently.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dr. Ella Hill, a survivor of the Rotherham rape gangs, says Islam was the driving force behind the abuse of white girls: \u201cI was told white girls are trash. They are all whores. They\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0obey Allah, so they deserve to be punished.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Yet, the rape crisis organization, designed to help and \u201cbelieve\u201d\u00a0rape victims, completely invalidates their experiences by calling their testimonies\u00a0\u201cunhelpful\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cirresponsible.\u201d<\/p>\n

The organization\u2019s\u00a0\u201canti-racist feminist values\u201d\u00a0put them at a crossroads: believe the female victims or sympathize based on the perpetrator\u2019s skin color.\u00a0A large portion of the report notes the systemic failures of cops and social workers.\u00a0Many victims refrained from seeking help and believed the gang rape groups were able to continue due to U.K. locals being afraid of racism allegations.<\/p>\n

When victims or their parents tried to report the abuse, they were often accused of racism. In one instance, a call operator told a victim\u2019s mother: \u201cYou should just be glad your child is being taught a different culture.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

One social worker, according to the report, told a 14-year-old victim that she could live with her 30-year-old \u201cboyfriend,\u201d so long as they didn\u2019t share a room. Another social worker removed Jane\u2019s written report of what happened to her from recent filings, despite\u00a0previous\u00a0filings and police reports showing that Jane wrote about her abuse experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A whistleblower social worker who worked in children\u2019s social care for almost 40 years raised concern in the report that\u00a0\u201cthe local council\u00a0prioritised\u00a0reputational and financial considerations over child safety, leaving ongoing risks unaddressed.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Rape Crisis Organization\u2019s statement is another example of systemic failure at the hands of social services. The organization and other social services that failed these young girls prioritize being\u00a0a moral police\u00a0instead of fulfilling their duty to protect the most innocent.\u00a0<\/p>\n

They continue to give in to the fear of being called racist. And if it\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0stop,\u00a0more little\u00a0girls will continue to be harmed.\u202f\u00a0<\/p>\n
