America\u2019s propaganda media have spent an awful lot of time and resources probing President Trump\u2019s renovation of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. From on-the-ground segments with ABC hack Jonathan Karl to expos\u00e9s on the pool\u2019s duck users, the coverage of this non-story has been \u2014 to put it mildly \u2014 breathtakingly stupid. <\/p>\n

As with any information cycle, corporate media\u2019s decision about what is considered \u201cnewsworthy\u201d isn\u2019t based on whether or not it actually is. It\u2019s based on whether it can be manipulated and used to attack Republicans and advance Democrat Party interests.<\/p>\n

Which brings us to the latest elections out of New York.<\/p>\n

By now, many Americans have probably seen headlines touting how several candidates backed by NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a radical Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) member, defeated several U.S. House incumbents in Tuesday\u2019s Democrat primaries. These articles\u2019 authors employed generalized language to characterize the upsets as a battle between the \u201cprogressive\u201d and \u201cestablishment\u201d wings of the party.<\/p>\n

What much of this coverage lacks, however, is any deep dive into the insanely radical policy positions supported by the victor candidates.<\/p>\n

In New York\u2019s 13th Congressional District, Mamdani-backed Darializa Avila Chevalier defeated incumbent Rep. Adriano Espaillat. <\/p>\n

Avila Chevalier is of Dominican descent and a Muslim convert who has espoused support for \u201cseiz[ing] the means of production,\u201d defunding and abolishing the police, nationalizing major industries, \u201cabolish[ing] the border,\u201d and stopping deportations of illegal aliens. She\u2019s also bragged about wiping her hands on an American flag after she \u201cforgot to get napkins,\u201d called for abolishing prisons and ICE, and claimed, \u201cIsrael doesn\u2019t exist!\u201d<\/p>\n

Avila Chevalier was also reportedly involved in forming an anti-Israel Columbia University group that previously declared support for \u201cthe total eradication of Western civilization.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Mamdani-backed Brad Lander beat out Hunter Biden laptop truther Rep. Dan Goldman to secure the Democrat nomination for New York\u2019s 10th Congressional District.<\/p>\n

Similar to Avila Chevalier, Lander backs abolishing ICE and previously supported slashing the NYPD\u2019s budget. He\u2019s also accused Trump of engaging in \u201cfascism\u201d and has thrown his weight behind Democrat-led efforts to pack the Supreme Court. <\/p>\n

DSA darling Claire Valdez \u2014 who won the nomination to succeed Rep. Nydia M. Vel\u00e1zquez \u2014 has also called for abolishing ICE, as well as investigating and prosecuting its agents. She\u2019s furthermore thrown her support behind ending the detention and deportation of illegal immigrants, giving amnesty to illegal aliens, \u201cdemilitariz[ing] the border,\u201d increasing the number of refugees brought into America, passing a \u201cGreen New Deal\u201d and \u201cMedicare for All,\u201d and ensuring taxpayer-funded \u201ctrans\u201d surgeries.<\/p>\n

DSA candidates also saw success in state-level primaries. This includes the victory of now-Democrat state Senate candidate Aber Kawas, the daughter of Palestinian natives who previously downplayed the 9\/11 terrorist attacks against the United States. <\/p>\n

Yes, what these candidates support is extreme beyond measure. And yes, what they will do if given power will destroy what\u2019s left of the American experiment. <\/p>\n

But the reality is that your \u201ctruth-seeking\u201d press doesn\u2019t give one rip about any of it. <\/p>\n

As previously alluded to, these self-aggrandized \u201cdefenders of democracy\u201d don\u2019t view it as their job to provide the public with accurate information about these candidates \u2014 no matter how radical their Marxist worldview or backgrounds are. They see their chief role as being the narrative-control arm of the Democrat Party. <\/p>\n

Whatever web of deceit needs to be conjured up to benefit their political allies, the media are there to spin it. <\/p>\n

Some outlets may give readers vague teasers about the New York DSA lineup\u2019s policy agenda now while their victories remain hot. But the closer the country gets to Election Day, expect that low bar of \u201creporting\u201d to vanish as quickly as it arrived. Because if the media believe whitewashing these candidates\u2019 radicalism will bode well for their party, they will not hesitate to do so. <\/p>\n
